Lake View Wedding
About the wedding:
Sophie & Andrew contact me about 13 months before their wedding day. The brief: a laid-back 4-day wedding in the backyard of their familie's holiday home in Switzerland.
All of their guests were going to travel from the US to discover this beautiful piece of land in a very small town on Switzerland called ''Estavayer-le-Lac''. This medieval town, set right by a beautiful lake, turned out to be the perfect spot for this 4-day wedding weekend.
We started the celebration with a Pool Party in the garden on Thursday, organized a rehearsal lunch by the lake and then a rehearsal dinner in town on Friday, had a wonderful garden wedding on Saturday, and ended the weekend with a goodbye brunch on Sunday.
We booked the local touristic ''train'' to shuttle the guests from their hotels to the wedding venue (see picture below) which was a huge success, and rented the most beautiful tents at Zeltvermietung.ch.
The flowers were sourced from a local vendor and the rest of the team (photography, hair & make-up, rentals, catering, etc) all came from Switzerland.
We also hired a couple of international and high-end vendors: the videographers travelled from the US and the DJ from the Netherlands.
This wedding weekend was a huge succes and I am immensely proud of the set-up, decorations, but most importantly of the good vibes throughout the 4 days!

"We had a four day wedding in Switzerland and it was a literal dream and could not have happened without Nicki.
I dont even know where to begin. Nicki was everything and more that you could ask for in a wedding planner. I imagine working with international clients without meeting them and planning one of the most important days of their lives is hard.
Nicki spends the time to really get to know you and what you are looking for. She guides you with her expertise on what makes a great wedding but ensures that it’s everything you want. It can be hard making decisions and choosing vendors without us having been able to meet them or even speaking the same language and Nicki helped with all of this.
I thought most of the Nicki’s work would be done with planning but I was so wrong. She coordinates and make sure that every moment is magical. She works tirelessly from setting up, to helping you get ready, preparing everyone with whats ahead, helping you make decisions, coordinating with vendors and hotels, staying calm, and having fun.
Throughout the process Nicki also became a friend. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients and it is clear how much passion and purpose that her job gives her. She is great with helping with PLAN B (when weather doesn’t go your way). And truly makes everything run so smoothly. I have heard from so many friends how stressful planning a wedding is (and though that may still be true to some degree) I did not feel one ounce of stress the moment the wedding weekend started because I knew we planned and prepared and that Nicki would take care of it all.
The amount of gratitude I have for Nicki and her influence on our wedding can not be described in this post you will simply have to experience if for yourself.
